To answer some questions.....

First off...YIKES! I missed a day of posting! I was doing so good until yesterday and just feeling icky about everything. your comments though did make me laugh (keith...im talking to you mainly young man...lol).

anyway....I just wanted to make this post about the comments i got on the last so here goes:

Machiabelly: You are still my Canadian sweety...no matter what them papers say.And you know you are welcome to fly out with or without kiddo, and no, I am not trying to get rid of you. thank you sweetie...I know. we have talked about this after the fact and we shall see.

Ellen: {{{Big Hugs}}}that's all just some hugs hope you feel better . thank you ellen. sometimes that is all a person needs. :)

Jenn: I'm sorry you are going through a rough time. I hope that you get the issues resolved soon and that 2007 is a great year for your family. That's so awesome that you are eligible for Canadian citizenship- and that you want it! Even after 7 years here I don't think I'm eligible for Japanese citizenship which is okay because I don't want it if it means giving up my Canuckistani passport. Keep us posted on your application! The issues with my family I dont think will ever be resolved and to be honest if i tell my one sister how i feel she is treating my mom im sure that will really end it for us so its better i just keep my mouth shut and just talk with my mom. When i apply for my Canadian citizenship i can keep my US also. but i tell you what...if i have to carry only one with me when travelling...i will carry the Canadian one cuz this is my home.

rositta: gave uup my German citizenship to become Canadian. My husband got to keep his US citizzenship. It took almost two years start to finish, good luck. it took almost a year for my permanent resident stuff to be completed but i was already living in canada for that one. and now from what im hearing it should only take a few month for my citizenship to go through. but i think the longest wait times will be waiting for testing date here on the island and then the official signing and ceremony date. either way....I will be happy when i am a citizen of the place i call home. I do know that it wont cost us nearly as much as doing the first process...so that will be nice on the wallet.

sally: Hey, I'm sorry you're feeling so down and everything's getting to you. It's tough being a human, I know it. I didn't know Canadians got tax refunds. I guess I just assumed there was a different taxation system than America's income tax process. Is the same or similar?Well, hang in there. I wish I could offer more. I always appreciate your kind words on my blog so the least I can do is offer my own blog buddy support. thanks sally for being a "blog buddy supporter"...lol. its so cool that we all care about each other yet have never met in person. it really is something special. taxes.....oh yeah we have taxes here taken out of our paychecks and when we buy things. its a total of 16% tax let say when you go to walmart and buy something. it so sucks...im still shocked after 4 years how much is added to my bill. in california we only had (let me remember) i think it was only 7.75% sales tax on items. as far as year end tax stuff being the similar i would say that the forms to me are easier then in the states and you have your deductions and all that stuff too. i do ours myself...and we are one of the lucky ones that do get refunds each year.

nanna: Sorry you're not feeling so hot I have days like that too. I'm not an expert but I believe the oath of citizenship takes place on Canada Day.I hope you're a Canadian by then.
I did know they did a ceremony on july 1st. but my only worry is i wont have my stuff done by then even if i send it in right on the date im eligible. either way....its getting done and i told kiddo that this next years christmas tree was going to be all red and white decorations in honor of our citizenship.

keith: I heard you get the Bryan Adams Greatest Hits CD upon getting citizenship. Is that true? OMG!!! You made me laugh so hard when i read this and had to tell hubby what you had said. he started saying that it was true but went on to add a bunch of other things that made me laugh even more. he can comment on this himself and let you know what you really get at that time.

im still feeling blah and havent quite got myself up out of this hole yet. my knee is still buggin...but half of what it was 2 weeks ago. i you have never watched Ugly Betty...WATCH IT! and last but not least........I WISH WINTER WOULD COME HERE! i think we traded weather with the west coast and it just seems strange having bare roads and rain this time of year.

hugs to you...have a good weekend :)
