Last post for 2006.....
First off....thanks everyone for your well wishes on my getting rid of this darn flu. I would also like to welcome and thank Erin (canuckifornia) for stopping by. she is a fellow californian living up here in canada...i have been reading her blog now for sometime and finally commented the other day about our love for snow like we are seeing through childrens eyes.
As for my flu...still here. I dont wish this flu on anyone. I have spent more time in the bathroom the past several days that someone might think i was remodeling it (or fumigating). I go back to the doctors on tuesday after the holiday cuz with all this i had to stop taking my knee meds cuz i was told if i had form of stomach trouble i had to stop taking them just incase it was them that was causing the problems. i will go back onto them after this stomach thing clears and if it at all comes back then i know for sure that it was the flu and not a reaction to the meds.
im hoping it is only the flu cuz my knee was somewhat doing better, going from a pain level of 10 down to a 6 or so depending on what my day was like. i didnt have the pain while driving anymore so that was a plus. but today im noticing that my knee is hurting a little bit more then it has been since stopping the meds. *sigh* im worried that i will have to stop taking them and be back to extreme knee pain again and then having to look into surgery.
I called out of work wednesday cuz of this darn flu and also today and tomorrow since im still not done remodeling my own bathroom. I will say (very quietly) that i might have turned a little corner on things today. last night was the first night i have gone without getting up a minimum of 6 times to check the paint in the bathroom. i actually slept! the tummy tightness has gone down a bit and not so painful. so fingers crossed im on the way to feeling better.
we are doing nothing today. i managed to go to the store yesterday with the family and pick up things we needed until tuesday/wednesday. we are planning to spend the last day of the year as well as the first of the new year in the house. not going out at all. hubby is downloading music onto his new mp3 player i got him for christmas....he is listening to all his music (snipits of each song) to make sure they are good versions and nothing is cut short. right now he is going through all his Great Big Sea stuff....i love this music...its celtic/maritimes/atlantic canada style...its so hard for me to describe them since i heard nothing like them before i moved here.
kiddo is in her room playing her new game cube game....and im here...typing away as well as watching out the window at the flurries that are going on with the sun shining bright.
