sticker shock...
been having the thought of moving in the back of my mind. many reasons why...one being we wanted to save a little bit of money and cut back on rent costs....and several others i wont go into here.
anyway...there are these duplex homes i always drive by and saw that they have the 2 newest ones for rent now. we drove by yesterday and took a look through the windows (they are empty) and loved them. both 2 bedroom and good in size for us.
well...let me tell you. our rent now is good where we are at and heat is paid. we only have to pay for electic, phone, cable. so i called the phone number listed on the "for rent" sign and was told it was $265 more a month and heat wasnt covered...so add another $100-150 more per month. OMG! my heart broke and realized i would never get into a nice place like that.
im just in shock on how much they are charging for this place. size wise...its a little smaller then what we have now...BUT...it is new and good area of town that is building up.
im sad over this and even had a dream about it last night. i had to call again this morning to verify the amount the lady gave me and for which property it was. she was right and im still in shock and saddened cuz there is now way we can afford that place no matter how hard we pinch pennies. if i have to get a better or full time job to pay a rent that high its going to be for a place that we buy...not rent.
oh well.....*sigh*....life goes on.
