we're weiners!.....
sunday afternoon we decided to have family time playing bingo at the local Legion. they were having a fun raising event for cancer with "craft" and other prizes. it was a family event so kiddo could play if she chose to. we sat her down with a 3-card and she did pretty good for the most part. she came close on a few games and she got all excited with every number that came up....was really fun to watch that part.
but the best part of the day....i won the 3rd game....i won a 4 piece set of dishes, $25 gift cert to one of the local fish markets, a set of handmade mits and pot holders (both very nice). then hubby won a game (i think game 12 or 13)...anyway...he won a toaster, $25 gift cert for one of the local auto places where we can get the oil changed, a $20 pass for another bingo hall.
not too bad of a day. we had fun...but the kiddo was getting antsy the last few games. it did last almost 5 hours...but overall she did good and we all had a great time.
monday i did absolutly nothing after going to the doctor and finding out the results of my blood work. come to find out that i might have diabetis again. when i say again its because i had it back in 2000/2001 and after i had my surgery and lost over 150lbs it was gone. that simple. but now it might be back. its to my own doing anyway and cant blame anyone else but myself. lets just say pepsi was my friend. i drank pepsi like someone chain smokes....way too much. so since the nurse called me 2 weeks ago to tell me my sugars are a little high i cut the pepsi from my diet completely and also any other refined sugars. i told my doctor this and he was happy to hear this. he wants to see how this alone works since i did drink so much sugar prior to stopping. i go back in 3 months to have blood work done again and if it didnt help then i have to go on meds and change a few more things. we shall see.
work was hell last night. omg...for a monday night it was so busy...i think it might have been due to the rainy weather we had all day. we have a leak in the roof and i had to go around the trash can all night that was catching the drips. lets just say i was worn out last night when i got home a half hour later then i normally would.
tonight the mother in law invited me to go to bingo with her and her friend. they are making a trip to the town next to mine and thought i might like to join them. they dont go very often so when they do they always ask....which is very nice. so im off to bingo again tonight in hopes of winning BIG money! lol
lots of house cleaning today. have to vaccuum the house and then mop. i have plenty of laundry to do and there are always dishes *sigh*. anyway....not sure where im going to start but i have to do something around here...the place is falling apart and im getting deeper in the hole of mess each day that passes without doing any of it.
