where have i been?....
well let me tell you. IM A CURSED! I have traded in all my dental problems for continuous back to back illnesses. from being sick with stomach problems to now having the worst cold in the history of colds.
after my nice long walk on monday i felt great. monday night i had a small asthma attack and that was taken care of quickly by a dose of inhaler. no problem...but wondered where the heck that came from.
tuesday morning started off a little slow...but thought it was because i was a little sore from walking as much as i did the day before and just wasnt used to it. well....was the day went on i started to have to clear my throat every 2 minutes and was becoming annoying. by bed time was coughing and couldnt stop clearing my throat of junk.
wednesday i was in full blown cold mode. i had very little voice, blowing my nose constantly and coughing a lot with all the loose stuff going on (sorry TMI). went to bed wednesday night with a fever of just under 40c and had no sleep...but lots of sweat.
thurday i had to work...i had no choice. had to open the store. i went in feeling like my head was going to explode and took every bit of me to even comb my hair....yes...it hurt to even comb my hair my head had so much pressure.
because of what happened last month after taking some cold meds im affraid to take anything at all but benedril. but i managed to be ok with plain dimatap liquid which barely touch my symptoms but helped me manage my day.
as the day went on i could tell my fever was coming back and i was happy when my shift was over cuz i thought i was going to pass out. i had already put calls out to a couple coworkers to see if they could cover my friday night shift for me and someone was able too...so that was a relief.
thursday night was another night of coughing. also more fever and sweats. with all the sweating i did you would think it would be gone by now.
friday...woke up with everything now very tight and hurting to cough. thats it...have to see the doctor. my fear was that i caught this cold from a friend of ours whos party we were at this past weekend. her cold came on fast also and it ended up being a lung infection.
saw the doctor and said that i did get this cold most likely from her but mine settled mainly in my sinus due to all the pressure in my head and is working its way down to my chest. he gave me some anti biotics and off i went to go home and start feeling better.
not so fast! when i got home i took the first of my 3 a day pills. one hour later i took 2 acetaminophen (generic tylonal) to help with my still ongoing fever. 10 or so minutes after that i started to get very hot and my heart started racing. "oh no...another reaction to some meds and my body is treating it like an O.D.". i go to the bathroom to rinse my face but when i looked in the mirror i was beet red...and i mean i was looking like i had the worst sunburn ever. i got worried and called my doctor. he told me to take some of my benedril to counteract whatever im reacting to and if it didnt help in to go to urgent care. it did...but i was scared now that i cant take any meds. he isnt sure if it was the anti biotic (which i have taken before) or the acetaminophone...which i have also taken before but only with the codine attached to it. so he gave me a new perscription that wasnt a "cilin"...and not to take the acetaminophone right now either.
after all that....last night i actually got a few hours of sleep...which was greatly needed. my cough is another story...its not so much...but if i get going i cant stop and then i cant breathe. so im fighting my coughs right now. i still feel like a truck hit me and going to be down today and tomorrow for sure.
i really think i have had a curse or something put onto me. the past 2 years i have dealt with major dental problems that seem to be under control now. but now i keep getting the colds ...the flu...my knee problems...and everything else that could happen lately. i have been both not interested in being online much lately cuz of this and also just not wanting to put on here that im sick yet again. it does always seem to appear im sick when i write on here and im even getting sick of that! LOL
