weekend update...
what a long enjoyable weekend....so much so i had to rest yesterday. lol
friday night i took mother in law to bingo and the place was packed. i first thought that it was cuz the weather was so nice out and everyone was just excited to get out and about. nope...that wasnt it. come to find out the "cookie jar" or "pot o'gold" (which ever they call it) was $3000. neither of us won a single game...but came close. i was so close on one game i was sick and cursing every ball that came up that wasnt the one i was waiting for.
let me explain...on one of the games i was set to win...in addition to the regular win i would have won on the cookie jar number also...so all that had to happen was B-10. i sat there 6 numbers and someone got bingo...the next number ...WAS B-10!!!!! omg...i could have had over
$3000 but missed out...i was so close and heart broken the moment someone called bingo. oh well...i almost had it. *sigh*
after bingo i came home and got hubby to see if Terry was still doing the dance and sure enough he was almost done. we ended up going back to the hotel he was staying and hung out with him, his mom and a couple friends. what a great time we had...havent laughed so much in a long time. wish you lived a bit closer terry....we would have some fun. you mom is a wonderful woman btw. diane and wayne are a hoot....she is one wild woman and he is for sure her dean martin staightman. where did you end up going for breakfast?
saturday we went to trivia in the afternoon and actually came in 1st place (me, hubby, friend tim and his son)...we were shocked. thought for sure we had a 2nd or 3rd place finish....but wohoo...we won!
after trivia we went to another friends house and had a nice barbeque...and just hung out. our friends son (different friend and son) did up some trivia for our group and had a good time for this being his first time. we came home with lots of little goodies from the dollar store for answering the "snapper" questions right. sunday we took mother in law to the flee market then went for a nice drive. bought some apricot jam and peach jam. the apricot is my favorite so far from this lady that homemakes it (this is my 2nd jar of this one). havent tried the peach yet.
the drive we decided to head a little south east and go towards the confederation bridge and see if gateway village was open yet. this place has lots of little shops to see. we went to a park that was just next to the bridge and me and the kiddo actually touched the bridge....it was way cool! i took lots of pictures and have posted them on my flickr site . (in the PEI stuff folder)
while there ...one of the shops offers a cool deal. for $2 per person, you can use their costumes of anne of green gables and their scenary to take pictures with your own camera. we took some of kiddo and realized that she would look really good with red hair. i dont doubt it cuz red hair runs on her fathers side of the family and her aunt has red hair.
yesterday...monday...i decided not to be my normal lazy (no..im not sick again!) and take a walk. i walked from my house to my work to return some dvds that had to go back. took me 30 minutes each way...wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. but today my ankles and knee a bit sore...but not killing me.
how was your weekend? whats up for your week?
hugs to you....
