its all about finding something to watch.....
Thought I was going to have a boring night of TV last night...But I was wrong!
TLC -the learning channel...has new show premiering this week. first off i need to tell you that i love reality shows. mostly the ones that are about families or different type of jobs basically documentaries.
the first show that caught my eye while flipping channels was titled "14 children and pregnant again!"...then the next hour was "16 children and moving in". the first was a documentary done in 2004 about the Duggar family of Arkansas. by the title you get the main part of their life...they have 14 kids! all biological children ages ranging from 16-2 yrs of age ( 9 boys and 5 girls) it shows their daily life of home schooling, shopping, how they manage. while all this is going on they are also building a new bigger home....themselves....the kids even help. they are a very religious family and the mom from what they show is just pleasant as punch and never seems to loose her cool. always so positive. by the end of the first episode(2004) she gave birth to her 15 child. oh...and all the kids names start with "J"....all of them!
the second of the series was done 2006 and she is about due with baby 16! and the home is yet to be completed. they have been building this new house for 3 years but its completed just after the birth of #16...which is a girl making the total of kids 10 boys 6 girls. i really liked this show just the fact she is so organized...i have one child and my house is a mess....lol
the next show i watched was "honey, we're killing the kids". basicly they have a family and they show the parents what their kids will look like if they continue to let their kids eat junk and not exercise.
the info from the website for this episode is this: James, Robbie, and Kevin are three boys with health issues. One is overweight, one a couch potato, and the other is underweight- due to picky eating and bad diet. When Nutritionist Dr. Lisa Hark introduces her "life changing" rules a war begin
it was a good show...i was happy to see that my kid isnt the only one to throw tantrums and also learned that there are some kids worse then mine...lol but seriously....it was nice to see how it was hard for the family to change some things that they we doing day after day and how it effected the kids and their reactions. ...some really bad....and some for the better.
i then moved to A&E to watch Airline. it was a new episode i hadnt seen so i had to watch it. its funny how people drink so much before a flight and wonder why they arent allowed onto the flight after making a sceen in the airport. insane people. i also have learned after watching this show now for 2 seasons that i will never fly Southwest. they employees are great and do their jobs...but wont fly unless i have a confirmed seat number for my butt on a plane. dont think i want to be one of the cattle and have the fear of not getting on a flight just because its over booked. pass on that!
another show that i have been watching on TLC is "little people, big world" about a couple who are little people and their 4 kids...three are normal size and one is small like them.
anyway....beautiful day here today...high of 11c and sunny.
have a great one and hugs to you.
