what a weekend....
wow...that was some busy weekend.
to answer a couple comments from the last blog....
riki....my bday is on may 30th. and a beta fish is one of the easiest to maintain fishes out there (so im told). i will take a picture of our new addtion soon.
andrea...yes she is a cutie too. have to watch the boys in the next few years...lol
RHSP...thanks for the shout out cuz it worked! will explain down below.
so the weekend was full of fun and adult time. saturday after dropping off kiddo at her girl guide fun day/sleep over we went to trivia. out of 8 teams... me and hubby came in 3rd place....wohoo! i actually came up with an answer he had no clue about....im so proud...i guess im not as dumb as i thought i was...lol
after trivia...we headed to the other side of town for some dinner. had a really good chicken stuffed with lobster and cream sauce. OMG! it was so good! it was called...chicken neptune.
we DID go to bingo after dinner. had a great time. with the powers of RHSP's chants....i won once during the night. $75 bucks! came close a few other times but not close enough.
after bingo we went to check out a newly moved pub in town. the Heritage Pub moved from downtown to a little bit down the road to a bigger place. its really set up nice. the front area is for the resteraunt and then you go into the bar area and around the corner you have a huge stage area and dance floor. its a much improvement to what the bands had to indure at the last place. they have much more room and are on a true stage. the pub has a chance to pull in some better known bands possible with the space they have now.
all in all our evening cost us a whopping $35. amazing! trivia...we won a certificate for $10 and that covered our couple pepsi's we had and quarters to toss. most of dinner was covered by a $30 certificate we had so we spent about $10 there including tip. bingo cost of $5 since i got back $75 of it from the win. and the bar cost us another $10 for our cover charge and 2 drinks for the short time we were there. the night could have cost us $150...but we did pretty darn well with certificates and winning a round of bingo. wohoo! im such a cheap date....lol
sunday we picked up kiddo from her overnight fun to find out that they were awaken at around 2am cuz there was an emergency call and the fire dept had had to head out. they were staying at a community center that is attached to one of the local fire depts so they got to hear all the guys coming in and getting the trucks to head out.
we (me, hubby, kiddo and her best friend) went to see the Shaggy Dog. its was ok...i give it a soft 6 only cuz i was a little entertained and wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. but to give it some credit...it IS a G-rated movie and totally Disney. after the movie we went to dinner and then took her friend home. she said she had a wonderful birthday weekend....im glad she did since we didnt do anything "big" and kept it small and simple.
have some stuff to talk about regarding the EX...but i will save it until later this week.
have a great day today...and big hugs to you
