sold! wait...nope...it's already sold to someone else...

OMG...i have forgotten how much a hassle buying a new car was. yesterday we decided to go to the dealership and start the process on getting our new car.

found the car with the options we wanted but it was in another town and had to be brought in. that was fine...gives us a few days to get everything set up and clean up the old car. we did the loan stuff for this car and got approved then the guy contacted the other dealership where this car was and found out it was sold already even though it showed still in the computer as available. there is only one other model the way we want it in atlantic canada and its in white...that is the one color of car i refuse to get. anyway..we would have to go as far as Ontario to get on if we didnt take the white one with an extra $700 charge...i dont think so.

so the only option we have now is to go from an automatic transmission to a stickshift/5 speed. i can drive them with no problem and my last car before coming to canada was a stick. i think its just laziness on my part for wanting an automatic.

last night after dropping off kiddo at girl guides we went back to the dealership after the closed to see what exactly they had in stock with stickshifts. we found one that has everything on it...but it has one extra option we dont really want or need here. we werent sure of which price they were going off of when we did all the other paper work earlier that day...so this one we saw last night is either $700 cheaper or $300 more. if its more im going to see if they will give us that one for the price of the other we thought we had....its only $300 and we were already approved for that other loan. if not and they dont go for my begging we will just have to lump that amount into the loan.

going there today to test drive that one we looked at last night with stickshift and see how i like it. while im doing that im going to have them do the numbers for me and give them an answer when i return with the car.

wish me luck...we might have ourselves a new car soon! its funny that the new car and insurance being upped is going to cost us exactly the same as we pay now for the van and insurance. but its a new car and full coverage insurance. the way we are saying money is GAS. i can put $60 in the tank of the van and it doesnt even fill it up and only lasts me less then a week. other then gas its going to save us on yearly repairs we are always having to indure with the van....and also going to give us peace of mind. there is always something going wrong with the van and i worry everytime im start it or hear a funny noise.

have a great day today....its sunny and warming up today to a high of 11c. wohoo...spring is finally here!
