this, that and then some sunday....
Today while listening to my satalite radio i realized how much i miss something back in california. i was listening to channel #22...1st wave. its early 80's alternative music and is my all time fav music. the host on the channel at the time is Richard Blade. he was a radio dj back in the day when i was a teen in the 80's on KROQ fm back in los angeles.
anyway....he was saying that today was the Depeche Mode convention in Hollywood and my heart broke. i had gone to several of those and love being among others that shared in the joy of DM and all they are. i danced more at those conventions then at any one place in my life.
so to add something else to my short list of things i miss from cali.... the annual depeche mode conventions. oh what fun they were.
on another note....today was the first time in so many years that i cant remember when the last time was.....i went to church. i had a good time and met some really nice people....i plan to go when im not working on sunday mornings.
kiddo is at a girl guide function right now so we got down to business as soon as we got back home from dropping her off.....YEP....TAXES! lol we finished mine but we had hit a wall with his and tried calling a few friends to find out that we needed a different form. i was burned out...so he is trying on his own right now while i sit here talking to you (smiles)...how nice of me huh? but he doesnt mind...would rather have me calm and happy then frustated and all grumpy.
so headphones are on listening to 1st wave station on sirus and typing away....Elvis Costello....pump it up.
making lasagna rolls for dinner tonight. yummm...they are so yummy and easy to make. have to start them when i get home from picking up kiddo since i dont have enough time right now to put together before putting in the oven.
oh yeah...almost forgot...i start my exercise class tonight. wohoo...wish me luck that this old body dont fall apart half way though...lol
