playing catch up.....
wow...cant believe its tuesday already and the last day of January 2006.
had a good weekend. mother in law came into town on friday afternoon. had a nice dinner at home then me and hubby went out. we werent sure what we were going to do...had a couple things in mind. we ended up going to help our friend set up for the texas hold'm tournement and played a couple practice hands prior to starting and decided to stay and play in tourney. had a great time. i didnt make it past the first table...but had lots of fun. i drank a little too much i think...had me a headache before the night was over. i think it might have been due to the fact i normally dont drink tequilla and i had 2 fancy shmancy fruity drinks with tequilla. they were good...but hit me harder then my other drinks i like. after the tournement we had side tables going either just to play or small buy in's were going on. i won one of them and won me $8 bucks...wohoo!
after poker we went and had chinese food. i was hoping that eating something would help the booze headache...but not much. it was still good though.
saturday took mother in law to bingo during the day. had a good time. she won one of the 50/50 draws but neither of us won a game.
made a nice dinner of fried pork strips and some teryaki noodles. yummm. hubby and i were going out again but had no clue what we were going to do. we browsed the local paper...nothing good at the movies perked our interest....no trivia going on in town anymore on saturdays...but there was bingo at the big bingo hall down by the water. we kinda laughed and decided that was going to be our date. we spent so much money this weekend....lol we had lots of fun but didnt win....we came close several times and both of us could have won $300 one game but they never called either of our numbers we were waiting on....how sad.
sunday mother in law took us to breakfast and then we drove her home to charlottetown. we browsed the car dealerships in town there and then headed back early since i had to work at 3pm.
work went by so slowly. but i survived...lol
monday....back to mornings as usual. when kiddo got home found out via a note that she got in trouble at school for spitting on a boy. she says he was following her and wouldnt leave her alone and she got mad. no excuse. this is a bad behavior that i thought she grown out of and knew what to do if other kids were bothering her. so we had to lay down the punishments last night and explained to her what she needs to do next time this happens.
oh....also managed to fit in a few new (1 isnt so new) movies ....listed on the side.
checking the weather im getting conflicting information. the weather network is saying one thing (1cm of snow in the next 24 hours) and then the local radio and tv are saying snow and blowing snow amounts anywhere from 5-10 cm. im so confused this time on what to expect. but then again...this winter has been odd.
