Movie night...car work....dear Andrea.....

Talk about being a kid and getting excited. today is the red circled day on the calendar for kiddo. on monday we asked her what she thought of us going to the movies and seeing Hoodwinked... our condition was she had to have a good rest of the week at school and at home. i noticed her calendar on tuesday night when i went into her room and had to laugh. i had to remember how being a kid was and how i would have been the exact same way when i was 10.
so...since today is friday and she has been good all week....we are going to the movies tonight. i looked up the times and notice that the price for a movie has gone up again here. OMG! its $9.25 for an adult now! this is why i dont go anymore....i would rather wait until it comes out on dvd and watch it in my own home all bundled up in bed and comfy. but we promised kiddo so thats what we are doing.
on another note....took our car in this morning to get our annual inspection on it. i knew we had to get a front suspetion bar fixed/replaced. but i just got the call that we need new bushings on both back tire areas (i dont know automotive terms)...and thats it. in a way im relieved thats all i have to get done for the car to pass inspection but then again...it kills me to have to spend $370 dollars. oh well....nothing else is wrong and these things have to be done. we just have to keep this car moving for another 3-6 months until we can get our new car.
I have to give a huge big CONGRATULATIONS to Andrea in Japan. her hubby has been in the immigration process to get himself a visa to come to canada so they can move here and live. its been a long, tiring, expensive struggle for them (i've been there done that) to get his visa...but the day has come that they are in the final step to get moving to Canada. IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU ANDREA, LI AND JI. i cant say this enough ...how happy i am for you knowing how emotionally draining this process can be. you're coming home girlie!
happy friday...and big hugs
