weekend of movies...and snow is coming!.....
As i write this im on the phone....on hold....listening to an instumental version of "dont cry for me argentina"....funny how i can sing along with this one...lol
anyway...had a nice long busy weekend. work was very busy on friday night and felt like being in a marathon. boy was i glad when it was time to go....i was so tired.
movies we watched this past weekend....(links in last post)...
the 40 year old virgin....we loved and havent laughed so hard during a movie in a long time until this one. if you arent offended easily and you dont mind non stop profanity this movie is for you.
valiant...animated movie about messenger pigeons during world war II...we all liked it. kiddo loved it so much she watched it over 5 times.
kronks new groove....animated movie...kiddo watched this one only one time and said it was just ok. we didnt watch it.
the brothers grimm...both me and hubby enjoyed this movie. i thought it was slow going at first but then it got better as it went along.
didnt get a chance to see the bad news bears, roll bounce, the island. oh well....i'll catch them another time.
we went and saw polar express for the kids christmas party saturday morning. I LOVED THIS MOVIE! it fits what we are going to have to deal with after this christmas is over and kiddo getting older. it was such a great "get into the holiday spirit" movie. the movie is so beautiful and really well done...but hubby thought the characters in the movie were creepy cuz they were so real looking but when they showed their eyes there was no feeling in them...kinda like dolls or robots. kiddo and her friend both enjoyed it also. and as emotional as i get during movies...this one made me shed a few tears also.
the weather right now is very sunny out and a high of -8c. but...later tonight there is a heavy snow warning issued for us here and expecting 20-30cm snow and very high winds. i think there might be a snow day tomorrow for the kids....we shall see at 7am when i turn the radio on.
im just hanging out at home today (nothing new)...kiddo gave me her cold and i think she gave it to me double cuz i feel like total crap and didnt sleep cuz of it last night either. oh well...at least im getting it out of the way now this week before christmas.
have a great day...im off to read blogs and play some POGO.com .....OH....BTW...i have a few free 5 day club passes for pogo if anyone is interested in trying it out. more games under the club pogo that basic doesnt get. let me know and we can work something out.
