waiting for the rain....

here on the island we are waiting for the remnents of tropical storm Ophelia. we are expected to get anywhere from 50-75mm of rain and high winds. weather people saying late this afternoon until tomorrow morning but it sure looks like it will start any time now (its 11am here).

lets see...what else....oh...a funeral is happening right now across the street at the cemetary. good timing i guess on their part ...before the rain starts. nice turnout for this person too. havent had as many services this year as last...or maybe i just havent noticed...*shrugs*

watched the adventures of Sharkboy and lavagirl last night with kiddo and it wasnt so bad. definitly a kid movie...but we both enjoyed it.

also watched the debut episode of Threshold. OMG what a great new show. its a science fiction show (something i NEVER really like) about aliens that come to earth and try to change the dna of earthling to match theirs. some parts are kinda scary and creepy. the cast and charactors are great and is definitly a must see if you are looking for something new to watch this tv season.
