some good news.....
first off.....thank you so much everyone for the wonderful thoughts about our anniversary. I am truly a lucky woman to have a man like my hubby.
second....to funky.....i have no clue what happened to nick and i didnt know he was switching blogs. he hasnt posted on mine in some time now...so i dont know a thing. please let me know if you find anything out....or anyone else that might know where nick went.
now...the good news. remember i said on sunday i had something to share but had to wait. (i didnt want to jinx it)...well.... on saturday i popped into one of our local video stores to pick up a few movies and was talking to the manager about if they were hiring right now and she said she was needing someone NOW. so....she set up a time for me to come see her monday night and interview....she would call me the next day to let me know if i passed this "personality" test thingy the company has you do before hiring.
I PASSED...and she offered me the job! I GOT A JOB! I got the job on our anniversay!...what a great gift.
the manager is really nice and we get along wonderful...she is very flexible to my hours im available. i will be getting pretty much the amount of hours i wanted (something i wasnt getting at my old job). i start next week after the holiday. WOHOO!
school starts tuesday! kiddo is excited and keeps saying she cant wait...thats a good thing. i just hope it stays that way once school starts and she doesnt have any problems with the couple boys that give her a hard time. im also hoping her best friend is in her class....her friend helps her so much handling these bullies and gives her confidence....we shall see...fingers crossed.
second day of rain here. had some good down pours yesterday but other then that...it was just a constant light rain most of the day. the winds picked up quite a bit last night and today. this storm we are having is the last of what was katrina.
gas also went up today....was $1.00/liter yesterday when we filled up our tank. heard that it could go as high as 1.11/liter. havent been out yet to see what it went up to. sure wish we didnt have this gas guzzler of a van.

edit: watched Envy last night. it was very funny. if you are a fan of jack black and/or ben stiller you will love it. i give it 2 thumbs up!
