2 good movies......

yesterday i had the joy of catching 2 movies on the movie network. both turned out to be better then i expected. there wasnt much on tv to begin with so i flipped around and saw that Big Fish was just starting.

this movie is directed by Tim burton so i expected sometime odd and quirky. i normally enjoy his movies but not as much as i enjoyed this movie. as you might know already i cry very easy during movies and this was no exception. then ending brought me to tears and made me smile at the same time. im not good at telling about a movie...but i will try....

its about a man who's life adventures are larger then life and unbelieved by his son. he is now on his death bed and his son wants to know the "real" stories of his life. the stories are about when he grew up...how he met his wife...the characters he met along his way in life and then how he saw how he was going to die. well done mr burton....i loved this movie!

the next movie i watched later that night was Touch of Pink. again...nothing much on and i had seen a preview for this between other movies during the past month.

how do i describe this movie.....gay couple....visiting mother....she is muslim...and he has an imaginary friend who is the ghost of cary grant.

was so good to see a movie about two people who love each other so much and it doesnt matter that they are two men. hubby even watched this with me and he enjoyed it also. it had lots of laughs and showed how hard it is for someone to tell their family they love someone they wont approve of......not only are they not muslim but its someone of the same sex. GREAT MOVIE!

today we are going the Green Gables to tour the place (havent done it yet since we moved here)...its free for the federal government employees cuz its.... "public service awareness week".

weather today:....high of 21c with a risk of thunder storms. very cloudy out right now as i type this...looks on the edge of rain.

have a good day....hugs
