this and that tuesday....
Still sick with this cold. in fact....its not getting any better. seems to be getting worse. so....if there is no improvement by thursady morning im heading to the doctor. im sure i have a lovely sinus infection...maybe even an ear infection. i guess things could be worse....but still...it sucks feeling like crap everyday.
took kiddo to eye doctor this morning...and all went well. she even showed off reading the charts. so all is well with her eyes.
talked to my dear friend alice via email yesterday. she is meeting us in cali and going to sea world with us (meeting for dinner the night before and maybe going to disneyland with our large family group too). she sent me a link to view some current pics of her family...and omg i miss them so much. she was there for me when i was going through my divorce and did so much for my daughter at that time also. she is an angel in my life.
thank you alice :) love you girlie
oh...kiddo came home yesterday with a flyer in hand and gave it to me. during gym class they had a taekwondo presentation by the local academy. she was so excited and made sure to point out that the flyer is a $25 gift cert offering 2 weeks (4 classes) for free to try it out. so im waiting now to hear back from this place cuz i wanted to know what their rates where and so on.
talk to hubby about this last night...he is 50/50 as i am on letting her do this. read up on the academys site...and we arent sure if she would be able to follow all the "instructions" that come with doing the physical (hard to explain) but we both think also that she is just into the whole "high kick" thing and if she doesnt master something the first night she is done. i guess we can let her try it and then go from there. this could be the best thing ever for her and teach her respect of others as well as herself....as well as the physical side of it.
we shall see after i hear back from the academy.
i do want her to get involved with something. something that makes her practice to improve herself...whether its a sport (running, taekwondo, etc)...to playing an instrument...she mentioned learing the bag pipes (yes...thats right...bag pipes... they are huge here). she really wants to ride horses...but its WAY to expensive for us...and the fact her bio dad doesnt pay child support is no help. i know bag pipes arent cheap either...but they dont start with the full thing and you can always rent instruments (ie...drums, brass, etc).
anyway...we are tossing this stuff around right now. its definitly something for us to think about for when we return back from vacation.
hugs...have a great day today (im trying really hard!) *sneeze sniff sniff *
