drizzly monday....
welcome to the start of the week....again! oh the joy of mondays. feel like my weekend went too quick.
first i want to thank: nick, the odd wife, and michelle for their comments regarding my friendship woes. and to everyone for their wishes for me to feel better soon.
instead of feeling like a 8 (scale from 1-10) on the shit meter....im about a 5 today. the meds are slowly working. wohoo!
the weekend was busy but fun. went to bingo with the mother inlaw in the afternoon....didnt win a darn thing! i was set for bingos EVERY game and didnt get one. oh well....had fun either way.
kiddos party she went to was fun ...so she says.
and then the car rally. it started to rain an hour before we had to go do it...so it was a rainy mess driving around town. one of the clues led us to a dairy bar where someone on the team had to eat a small cup of soft serve icecream with some of that sour liquid mixture put ontop of it. hubby loves sour stuff and he said it was almost way too much for him to handle....whata' man!
we didnt get 2 of the answers and turned it in as is. we tied for 1st place but lost and got 2nd place due to the amount of kilometers. something like 5 more kilometers then the other team.....oh well. we had a great time and kiddo said she had lots of fun. thats all that matters. well.....no...i have to say....im very competitive and hate to lose...but i dont tell my kiddo that...lol
better news though.....my trivia team for that night came in 1st place...WOOT WOOT! i was surprised though really...thought a couple of the other teams had us. we would have came in 3rd place. let me explain. our score was counted up wrong...we got shorted 2 points. that made the difference. the 2 other teams that were tied for 1st originally were a 1/2 point ahead of us. getting the right count put us in 1st!!!! go team!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY (belated) to all the moms. i had a good day yesterday. hubby and kiddo took me and mother inlaw out for breakfast. yummy! and my little girlie got me some new links for my italian charm bracelet.
when we got home.....mother inlaw decided she was going to head back to her town via one of her friends going that way. so we had the afternoon to ourselves. i ended up sleeping most of the day away...lol i sure needed it...hubby says i was out cuz the phone rang right next to me and i didnt even move.
ok enough rambling for this morning......have a great day today :)
