Sticker shock....
I did something I haven't done in many years for myself yesterday. I went major clothes shopping. With the upcoming vacation I wanted to have some new summer clothes other then my normal t-shirts and jeans look....So off me, hubby and kiddo went to shop.
I knew I wanted a few pairs of capri pants and a few nice tops more girlie then my normal. When we showed up we didn't realize the store closed at 6:30pm (we got there at 6:10) the lady helping us was great though. i tried on many things...Some good...Some not so good...LOL.
i even tried on a couple summer dresses...Something i haven't worn in ages.
so....What did i get? i ended up getting 3 pairs of capri pants, one tank top, one button blouse, 4 blouses, and a sun dress. 10 items. It was what i basically came in for...Wasn't expecting to get a dress...Or a couple of the blouses...But they were on sale and looked good on.
my total for these 10 items.....Just over $300. OMG! i thought i was going to be mid $200's....i was wrong. i hate buying for me. And when i do i feel guilty. i might by myself "new" top in the summer...And maybe a new pull over sweater in the winter just for something new. But not like this. Last time i did this was way back in the early 90's.
i know i shouldn't feel bad for doing something for me...But i do. Thank goodness we are getting a good tax return this year. That's the only reason i agreed to do something for myself for vacation. New clothes and next month i have an eye doctor appointment and this time instead of just my normal glasses I'm going to get a second pair that are prescription sunglasses...That's my birthday present i chose for myself...LOL
now that i have complained about doing something nice for me.....
today when i was at walmart i picked up something for the kiddo. When we are on vacation she says she cant wait to go swimming when ever she can and wanted goggles and snorkel. So i picked a set up for her today...She doesn't know i got it...And wont until we go on vacation. i cant wait to surprise her.
