Vacation plans starting.....

the ball has started rolling........

im so excited but then nervous. we are taking a big vacation this coming summer 2005 and today we started our planning. we have had it set that we aer going on vacation this summer...but nothing in stone yet. hubby was home sick today and we started talking about our trip.

we brought out the calendar to figure out when we are going so he can put in his request for time off. (3 full weeks!) then we started talking about car rental or get our car all prepped for the trip. he decided to do some internet research on car rental. didnt get very far really...cuz we need unlimited miles. so he started the "call around" game.

Budget...wasnt budget at all. Hertz was ok. Avis was very helpful and had a good rate. Alamo topped it off....they had great customer service (very helpful on our special needs) and great rate. so we talked about it for a bit...and decided to go with Alamo...the rate is locked in until our trip. i guessed on a rate...and i came in so much higher then we are going to pay.

so now....one thing now is set for vacation! but damn to all hell...i get "buyer remorse" everytime i spend money over $50...lol i know we are going to be spending this money anyway and it was planned...just the fact i think its a step towards something i have been planning for 2 yrs now.
