tree is up....but on another note.....
the tree is up and so are the lights! i did it. took me 2 days...but its done. just have to finish a few little things around the house and thats it. wohoo! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
on another note....im a bit frustrated right now. without going into too much detail.... i turned some papers in october 2003...from what i told from several people....my application process was 12 to 18 months from the day i turned them in and they got them. fine.....so now im at 14 months...and nothing yet but was told january i should be all through it. i get a reply today from a letter i sent requesting a status report on whats going on. in this letter it now says.... 12 to 18 months from the time the application is approved...which was march 2004. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!? so now....my wait time is longer then i thought? i have a trip coming up in july to the states...and im stressing out now that this is taking so damn long. its so damn frustrating when you do things right you get the run around. but people do things wrong they dont get caught or whatever. grrrrrrr.
sorry for the rant....but i so want my status in this wonderful country to be completed. i feel im in limbo with no permanent status anywhere.
one more thing....
tonight is our Christmas Appeal for the Kinsmen and Kinettes. its live on locate access tv from 7pm to 11pm. i get to help out with the auction items (if things go as planned) or i might be on the phones (as i have done the last 2 yrs). im going to try and not get myself on camera this year at the anchor desk...got put on there in 2002 and last year also. i was nervous as all hell! lots of local entertainment performing and theres auction stuff. the donations help fill christmas hampers for the needing families in the community ...toys for the kids as well in these families. if tonight dont put me in the christmas mood im in trouble.
