happy monday everyone (blek)!

Yesterday (sunday) was a gorgeous day here in Summerside PEI. it was cool and breezy. no rain until later in the day. we ventured out to Cackleberry Farms to pick some apples and have a nice "family" day. on our way home it started to rain a little...nothing much...a nice spitting. well.....not 30mins after we got home we started to hear thunder and then all of a sudden it started to pour....what timing. I decided to look outside at the rain which i do all the time cuz i love the rain (didnt get that much back in california). as the rain is just coming down in buckets i see someone standing by our front tree near the sidewalk. im telling my hubby that someone is stuck out there in the rain waiting the storm out. the person moves a bit....and what do i see.....2 others with her....2 young kids. i couldnt just let them stay out there.....i had them come inside to wait out the down pour. come to find out they were on their way home and as the rain got heavier she called her boyfriend on the cellphone on was on his way to pick them up. so they waited inside while watching for their ride. they were soaked. she was very thankful for me letting them wait inside....her ride showed up 5 mins later and they were off with many thanks of our kindness. after this happened all i could think of is.......i would only hope someone would have done the same for me if they saw me outside with my kid.
