feeling old
I remember when I could stay up at night until 3am and have no problems getting up the next day feeling rested after only a few hours sleep. Well......let me tell you........I cant do that anymore.
It all started yesterday (saturday) after dropping off the kiddo at grandmas in Charlottetown. we drove around a bit....checked out the new parking meter thingys. we went to have some lunch at Cedars. OMG.....I had never been there before and it was soooo good. hubby got the sampler platter (which he has had before)...and i got the steak sandwich in the lebonese bread....I was in heaven. A little something about me.........give me BEEF anytime and im a happy camper! I tried a bit of each item on my hubbys plate and i guess its an aquired taste cuz I wasnt crazy about it. but he loved it. from there we drove back to Summerside...had some "adult" time...lol. (with no kid around...you have to!) played on the computer for a bit, then we went out for the evening. went to play trivia at a local club...had a great time. our team consisted of me, hubby and our friend LCM. our other friends were sitting at a table next to us...who by chance we tied for 2nd place with....we came in second via a tie breaker. wohoo! hubby and LCM won a few beer which they enjoyed. I was driving so I had my pop and chips.
by the time we left trivia and dropped our friend off at home it was nearly 1am. thank goodness for west coast channels on tv...was able to watch Big Brother 5 when we got home without having to worry about taping it. We are both reality tv junkies. Im glad I have someone that shares my same obsession. he stayed up watching tv until 3am...I made it until ...oh....sometime after 2am...not sure...fell asleep watching something...dont even remember. lol
had to be up about 10am today so we could get going and be out in charlottetown about noon. got out there.......got the kiddo......came back home........and plop........i was taking a nap...lol I slept for 4 hours. omg.....im still flippin tired. im getting old! thanks god for lazy sundays.
hubby off work tomorrow cuz of holiday......and by luck......im off also...wohoo! so we get to sleep in tomorrow!!! exciting life I lead.
